What do you think about the place of Psalm 109 and its like? When I saw your title, I expected this to be the subject. The topic you covered is certainly worth thought as well: I would love to hear Anglican-style chant in more churches.
I'm happy to sing all the Psalms, even the imprecatory ones. I know some parts of the church are not used to that. I don't think I would be the best qualified to speak on the merits of singing the imprecatory Psalms. My friend Scott Aniol has done some good work on it.
Yes! I just wrote briefly on my own blog about the participatory nature of congregational worship. I believe we come from different church music traditions, but the importance of all God's people singing together is universal!
